| Ever since I bought my Kindle I had been looking for a good silicone case to protect my investment. The cover that comes with the Kindle is "kindling" (forgive the pun), ie useless. I have also tried several other covers similar to the one Amazon ships with the Kindle (the M-edge cover, very expensive). However, this silicone cover is by and far the best, it is EXCELLENT. The stand on the back is an added feature. I have NOT had any problems whatsoever with static, and find the case VERY COMFORTABLE to use. It is the best value I've seen for an add-on Kindle product. | After I ordered the Kindle, I was interested in getting a silicon cover for it. After looking at many online, I found that most don't have cut outs in the silicon for the controls. This one does. It fit perfectly. It doesn't hinder any operations on the Kindle. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. |

| I read mixed reviews on this skin, but decided to try it because there were so few products left for my Kindle 1.1. With the skin on, all the openings for use are available. It is easy to turn on, turn pages and use keyboard. For me, it felt more secure in my hands. I also bought the Belkin Neoprene case and even though it said it was for Generation 2, my Kindle with the skin fits perfectly. I also like the security of the case better than the one that came with my Kindle that has the elastic. |

Preferring to read hands free I thought this product would both protect and allow me to prop the book into a reading position.
Sadly the bar on the back slides on smooth surfaces and has no tension which meansthat even if you could prop it up the moment you touch it the book falls more easily than a domino.
If I had chosen to use it as a protector the fit is good and allows access to the buttons but it does make the kindle too bulky to fit into any of the covers I currently own.
I ended up purchasing the companies leather case with adjustable leather stand and I am very pleased with it.I even ended up buying a second one since the Kindle 1 accessories are becoming an endangered species. |
